This past year, Chinese automakers hit new milestones in production and sales, with China accounting for over 60 percent of global electric vehicle output and sales, according to a government work report submitted Tuesday to the national legislature for deliberation. The fast-growing Chinese market has also driven international auto giants, including VW and BMW, to increase their investment in the country with new factory plans announced.
